Terms of service
The deal, in writing.
Last updated 4 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and ShopARoll for the website at shoparoll.com, the product at app.shoparoll.com, and the partner API. Using any of them means you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use ShopARoll.
1. Who we are
ShopARoll ("ShopARoll", "we", "us") is the service at shoparoll.com and app.shoparoll.com. You can reach us at hello@shoparoll.com.
ShopARoll is made for businesses: cafés, salons, gyms, takeaways, shops and the people who run them. By using it you confirm that you are at least 18, that you are using it for a business, and that you have the authority to agree to these terms on that business's behalf. If you are using ShopARoll purely as a consumer, some of these terms are softened for you, and section 15 says how.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Google account. We ask Google only for your name, your email address and your profile picture. You are responsible for keeping that Google account secure and for everything done through your ShopARoll account, whether by you or by someone you let in.
An account can hold more than one business. Each business's photos, brand details and videos belong to that business, and only the account that created them can see them.
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We delete what we hold in the way the privacy policy describes.
3. What ShopARoll does
ShopARoll takes the photographs and details of your business and turns them into short vertical videos and ad images. It reads your website or map listing for your name, address, phone number, logo and colours; describes your photos; writes scripts, captions and ad copy; records a synthetic voiceover; draws pictures you don't have; and, if you ask it to, animates a still photo into moving footage.
All of that is produced by automated systems, including artificial intelligence models run by us and by third parties. It is generated for you to review. Nothing is posted anywhere until you download it or approve it yourself.
We change ShopARoll often. Features may be added, altered or withdrawn. Where a change removes something you pay for, we will tell you first.
4. Your content
"Your content" means what you give us: photos, videos, logos, brand details, descriptions, reference photos for a persona, the text you edit, and the pages of your website you point us at.
You keep it
You own your content. You give us a licence to store it, copy it, crop and resize it, describe it, animate it, and send it to the service providers named in the privacy policy, solely so that we can do what you asked. That licence lasts as long as the content is in your library, plus a short period for backups, and it ends when the content is deleted. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not show it to other customers.
You promise it's yours to use
By giving us content, you confirm that:
- you own it, or you have permission to use it in advertising for your business;
- anyone recognisable in a photo has agreed to appear in your marketing, and anyone whose photos you use to build a persona has agreed to that;
- any website you ask us to read is yours, or you have the right to use its contents;
- it is not unlawful, defamatory, infringing, sexually explicit, hateful, or harmful to anyone.
If someone claims your content breaks these rules, we may take it down while we look into it.
5. What you make with ShopARoll
"Output" means what ShopARoll produces from your content: scripts, captions, ad copy, ad images, drawn pictures, voiceovers, animated shots, finished videos and persona stills.
As between you and us, output is yours. You can use it commercially, post it, edit it and keep it after your account closes. We keep no rights in it beyond what we need to run the service. A few honest caveats:
- It may not be unique. AI systems can produce similar results for similar requests. We can't promise that no one else will ever get something that looks like yours.
- It may be wrong. The AI can misread a photo, invent a detail, or write an offer you never made. Read every line before you post it.
- It may not be copyrightable. Whether AI-generated material can be protected by copyright varies by country and is still being decided. We make no promise either way.
- The voice is synthetic. It isn't a specific real person, and you must not present it as one.
- The music is licensed for the video. Background music is included so your finished video can be posted on social platforms. Don't extract it and use it on its own.
6. What you post is on you
You decide what to publish, where, and to whom. Before you post something ShopARoll made, check that it is true and lawful. In particular:
- prices, offers, opening hours, allergens and claims about your products must be accurate;
- your advertising must follow the law where you advertise, including consumer protection and advertising standards rules (in the UK, the CAP Code enforced by the ASA);
- the platform you post to has its own rules, including rules about labelling AI-generated content, and you agree to follow them;
- don't make content that impersonates a real person or business, or a persona of a real person who hasn't agreed to it;
- don't make content that is misleading, discriminatory, harassing, or that targets children.
If your use of ShopARoll leads to a claim against us by someone else, and you are using ShopARoll for a business, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with that claim.
7. Fair use
Please don't:
- try to get at another customer's photos, videos or details;
- probe, scan or test the service for weaknesses without asking us first, or interfere with how it runs;
- use ShopARoll to read websites you have no right to copy from, or to build a scraping operation;
- automate the app with anything other than the partner API described in section 9;
- resell ShopARoll or offer it as your own service without an agreement with us;
- work around credits, rate limits or any other control;
- copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the service.
8. Free plan, credits and paying
What's free
Writing, voiceover, captions, pan-and-zoom motion across your photos, ad images and the rest of the product cost nothing, however many you make. Every new account gets 20 credits to try the paid features. We may change what the free plan includes, and we'll give notice if we do.
Credits
Credits pay for the things that cost us money to run: AI motion on a shot, and pictures the AI draws. The price in credits of each is shown in the app at the moment you ask for it, and that is the price that applies. As of the date at the top of this page, AI motion on one shot is 5 credits and a drawn picture is 1 credit.
- Credits included with a subscription are an allowance. They last until the end of the billing period they came with and don't roll over.
- Credits you buy outright are purchased credits. They don't expire while your account is open.
- Allowance is spent first, so purchased credits are always the ones left over.
- If a generation fails, the credits it cost are returned automatically.
- Re-rendering a video doesn't charge again for a shot that has already been animated.
Subscription
The monthly plan is billed in advance by Stripe at the price shown at checkout, and renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in the app. Cancelling stops the next charge; the plan and its allowance run to the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't refund part of a month, except where the law says we must.
Top-ups
Credit packs are one-off purchases. Once any credit from a pack has been spent, the pack is not refundable, except where the law says otherwise.
Prices and tax
Prices are shown in the currency at checkout, with any applicable tax shown there too. If we change the price of the monthly plan, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal. If you don't want to pay the new price, cancel before then.
Payment problems
If a payment fails or is reversed, we may pause the paid features until it is sorted out. Stripe handles all card details; we never see or store your card number.
9. Partner API and MCP
You can make API keys in the app under Settings, so that your own software, an AI agent or a platform such as treg.to can make ads and reels for your business. If you do:
- A key belongs to one business and spends that account's credits. Keep it secret; anyone holding it can spend your credits. Revoke it in Settings if it leaks.
- Paid API calls are charged per successful generation. A call that fails is never charged.
- The current rates are published at shoparoll.com/api-pricing and in machine-readable form on the API itself. They can change; the published page is always the current price.
- Whatever your software or agent does with a key counts as done by you, including what it posts and what it spends.
- If you reach the API through a third-party platform, that platform's own terms and billing also apply, and they are not ours.
- We may rate-limit or revoke a key that is being abused or that is harming the service.
10. Connected channels
You can connect a YouTube channel so that ShopARoll uploads the videos you approve. When you do, you authorise us to upload on your behalf, and you also agree to YouTube's Terms of Service. We upload only what you have approved in the publish queue, and nothing else. Google limits how many videos an app can upload each day, so a scheduled post may go out later than planned when that limit is reached. You can disconnect a channel at any time in the app, or from your Google account permissions.
11. Support, and our staff in your account
To help with a problem, a member of our staff may open your account and see what you see. Every such session is recorded in an audit log, and staff cannot spend your credits or buy anything while doing it.
12. What we promise, and what we don't
We'll run ShopARoll with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, the service is provided as it is. We don't promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any particular output will be to your taste, or that a video will perform well once posted. Output is not advice, and it isn't a substitute for checking things yourself.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law doesn't let us limit.
Otherwise, our total liability to you for everything arising out of ShopARoll in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and £50. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data beyond what the privacy policy says we keep, or any indirect loss.
13. Ending things
You can stop using ShopARoll whenever you like, and close your account by emailing us.
We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if a payment isn't made, if the law requires it, or if we believe your use is harming the service or other people. Where we can, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.
If we shut ShopARoll down, or close your account for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll give you 30 days' notice where we can, time to download your videos, and a refund of any purchased credits you haven't spent.
14. Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms when the product changes. The date at the top tells you when. For a change that matters to you we'll email the address on your account, or show a notice in the app, before it takes effect. Using ShopARoll after that date means you accept the new terms.
15. If you're a consumer
Most of our customers are businesses. If you use ShopARoll for yourself rather than for a business, then:
- you have the right to cancel a purchase within 14 days. By buying credits and starting to use them straight away, you ask us to begin immediately and accept that you lose the right to cancel for the credits you've used;
- section 6's promise to cover our costs doesn't apply to you;
- nothing here takes away the rights the law gives you in the country where you live.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the law where you live and can bring a claim there.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something straight away, that doesn't mean we've given it up.
